The symbolism of the lotus, Om and mandala

Certain symbols appear again and again in our work. Here's a little of what they mean, and why they age so gracefully as objects.
The lotus
Rooted in mud yet blooming immaculate above the water, the lotus is a near-universal symbol of purity and rising above circumstance. It anchors many of our idols for exactly that reason.
Om (ॐ)
The primordial sound, held to contain the whole of creation in a single syllable. Rendered as layered wall art, it becomes a piece of contemplative geometry as much as a sacred mark.
The mandala
A map of wholeness drawn as concentric order radiating from a centre. Even as pure decoration, a mandala invites the eye — and the mind — to settle.
Living with symbols
You needn't be devout to feel the steadying effect of these forms. That, perhaps, is why they've endured for so long.
